Taking care of your cutting board with a few easy steps will extend the life of your board, keep it sanitary and help to prevent warping.

After each use, wash and scrub your board to get rid of food particles and bacteria. For a deeper clean, try scrubbing with half of a lemon and sea salt.
OIL & WAX (every month or when dry to the touch)
Your wooden board needs hydration. After cleaning and once your board is dry, apply a generous layer of oil and spread with a cloth, to ALL sides of your board. Let the oil soak in for at least three hours. Leave it on its edge to dry.
After the oil is dry, apply the board wax with a cloth and make sure to cover every inch of the board. Leave it on its edge to dry.
The wax is used to create a waterproof protective finish or barrier. The wax helps to fill and seal knife scars, retain moisture and prevent the absorption of liquids that can cause food stains, water damage and bacteria from growing.
