NFC TAGS | PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS

How to Program (or Reprogram) Your NFC Smart Tap Tag

It’s simple!  And fast! No subscriptions or accounts required.

We suggest using the free BLK Cards app to program your link or contact card to your NFC Smart Tap Tag. 

Step-by-Step:

1. Download the FREE app called “BLK Cards” in the App Store or Google Play.

2. Open the app and tap the ➕ plus sign to create a new entry.

  • Paste a URL (e.g. your website, Instagram, Linktree, etc.)
  • Add a Title for your link
  • Tap Save

3. Choose your entry from the list

  • Tap the black circle next to your entry
  • It will say “Ready to Scan”. 
  • Hold your tag to the back of your phone and then it will say “Writing Complete”.

4. That’s it! You’re done. 🎉

5. Test it.

  • Tap the tag to the back of your phone
  • A message will pop up. Tap it to open your link.

📍 Tap Tips

  • iPhone users: Tap to the top-back of the phone
  • Android users: Tap to the middle-back of the phone
    • Android users may have to enable NFC in the settings on their phone
  • Any phone newer than iPhone 8 should work seamlessly with NFC Tags
  • If the tap doesn't work repeatedly when it should, turn your phone off and on again. This will help to reset the NFC settings. I have seen it work!
